بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
O people, fear Allah, for it is the best commandment at all times and in every situation. Fearing God brings peace of mind and comfort in this world and success in the afterlife. As stated in the Quran, "whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him and provide him/her from where he does not expect."
Jabir bin Abdullah recounts a story told by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about an old woman who was wronged by a man in the land of Habesh! The Prophet affirmed that injustice would be accounted on the Day of Judgment, emphasizing that a nation cannot be sanctified if the weak are not protected from hardships.
Our Sermon today addresses the grave sin of injustice, which brings misery and darkness into people's lives. Injustice is forbidden by God, as it leads to dire consequences for individuals and societies. God has declared in a Holy Hadith, "O My servants, I have forbidden injustice for Myself and made it clear among you, so do not be unjust." The repercussions of injustice are severe, affecting both this world and the hereafter.
Allah does not support the wrongdoers and has warned against their success and guidance. The oppressor and the oppressed will stand before God in the divine court of justice on the Day of Resurrection, where true justice will prevail, free from any earthly influences.
Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah emphasized that justice is obligatory in everything and for everyone, and injustice is forbidden. This principle applies universally, regardless of the person's faith or status. As believers, we must uphold justice and avoid any form of oppression.
May Allah spare us from injustice and protect us from the evil of the oppressors. He is the best to ask for help and protection.
O’allah grant us Your mercy: You are the Ever most merciful and Giving and Guide us to do Justice.
